Link is pleased to co-host the Scottish launch of the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report in Edinburgh with partners UN House Scotland.
The 2017/8 Global Education Monitoring Report ‘Accountability in education: Meeting our commitments’, will continue the GEM Report’s assessment of progress towards SDG 4 and its 10 targets, as well as other related education targets in the SDG agenda. The Report will also investigate accountability issues in education, analysing how relevant actors (government, schools, teachers, parents, students, international organisations, and the private sector) can provide education more effectively, efficiently and equitably.
The Scotland launch will combine a presentation of the Report along with a high-level expert panel, and an interactive question and answer session on the Report and its recommendations. The event will bring together a range of education stakeholders including policy makers, teachers, students and civil society representatives to discuss the evidence based findings from the report and ways for greater collaboration between education stakeholders to ensure the provision of equitable, quality education for all.
